Pakistan conundrum

Tensions between Pakistan's civilian and military leaderships have been simmering for some time now. Ever since the memogate controversy first broke, relations between Rawalpindi GHQ and Islamabad have plummeted. This was manifest last week in Prime Minister Yousaf Gilani's combative speech in parliament, reiterating the army's accountability to the legislature.
