Sikkim: Flowers beckon

The annual International Flower Festival is here again. Held every year in the month of May 2011 at Gangtok, the festival is a visual treat for all nature lovers and enthusiasts. More than 600 species of orchids, 240 species of trees and ferns, 150 varieties of gladioli, 46 types of rhododendrons along with a variety of magnolias and many other foliage plants are displayed which reflect the State's rich flora.
