Dependable partners, undependable Congress

The Congress party’s vow of neutrality over the alleged ‘custodial’ death of National Conference (NC) worker Syed Haji Mohammed Yousuf—which apparently took place just hours after he had exited Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s residence—may be sending cold shivers down the NC’s spine. But then that is Congress realpolitik: whether it be the DMK, SP, RJD and others like Chandrasekhar previously, the Congress is a historical Judas to its partners.
