Separating grain from the chaff

The agitation over the three farm reforms has become protracted and vexed. The Government which initially claimed that the Acts will benefit the farmers has now recognised that there are problems in the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act (popularly known as APMC mandi Bypass Act) and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act (in short, Contract Farming Act).
