No buckling down to China

One of the reasons for the Indian military’s inaction is the Manmohan Singh government’s generally craven attitude. Take the matter of terrorism: While China declined to impose UN sanctions on Hafiz Saeed and his Pakistani terrorist outfit, Delhi assured Beijing it would control Tibetan exile activity to liberate their homeland, which accommodative behaviour is despite Beijing showing no respect for international laws, because it believes India lacks the guts to do anything about it, and, in any case, that Delhi can be pacified with conciliatory noises.
