Dismantle the Planning Commission
India's planners have long thought linear, and that too in very shallow buckets of time of just 12 months. Coupled with interminable delays in converting plans into action due to lack of accountability, it is no surprise that the entire physical and social infrastructure is perennially choked. What is worse that there is little reason to believe that the situation would improve anytime soon. This is simply because our political planners have simply failed to appreciate the dimension of India's challenges and non-linearity of the growth of demand across myriad basic needs on account of factors unique to India.
