Al Qaeda plans to hit back, but must be stopped

Given that it is an organisation that feeds off the notion of revenge, it is not entirely surprising that the world’s most feared terror network has vowed to avenge the death of its most iconic leader with unprecedented levels of violence and bloodshed. Yet the blood-curdling statements of retribution issued by Nasir al-Wahishi, the leader of the powerful Yemeni franchise of Al Qaeda, serves as a chilling reminder of the fact that even after the death of Osama bin Laden, the war on terror is far from over.
