India needs to learn from US cynicism of Pakistan

Pakistan has the distinction of being a non-NATO ally of the US. But an ally to what end? Not to combat communism anymore, as that threat has vanished. It is supposedly to combat a new force that threatens global security, with the US as the principal target - international terrorism. At the centre of this new threat, in the US's view, has been the al-Qaeda led by the notorious Osama bin Laden.
