From darkness into light

As South Africa celebrates Freedom Day on April 27, we take a tour to Robben Island, a place that signifies the country's long walk to freedom from apartheid. Until I took the boat from the Victoria and Albert waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa, I always visualised Robben Island to be a dark, forsaken island, not much touched by sunlight or positive energy.
