Three years after 26/11

The attack on Chabad House was not just to hit at the Jewish community but possibly intended to damage growing ties between India and Israel. Instead, it has further strengthened relations. The 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai left more than 170 dead and Indian society to grapple with its nation’s equivalent of America’s September 11th. In fact, so strong is that analogy in the Indian psyche that they refer to the attack as simply “26/11”.
