Power and no glory

Despite superficialities like a shuffling of the cabinet and strident campaign rhetoric, the reality of an alarmingly serious crisis of credibility troubles us. It is a crisis of many hues: of governance, of probity and rectitude in public life, above all, of commitment to national interest. To illustrate: I am entirely unable to understand why the stewardship of a strategically vital ministry like petroleum has been changed again. For national good or corporate benefit?
