Tainted leaders in House panels?
Political rehabilitation of tainted party leaders isn't a new phenomenon. But given the sweeping anti-corruption mood across the nation, one could reasonably have expected the government to, at least for the sake of symbolism, refrain from such acts. That would have been a welcome departure. Unfortunately, exactly the opposite has happened. Two scam-tainted former Union ministers in the UPA - A Raja and Suresh Kalmadi - have been nominated to parliamentary committees on energy and external affairs.
