Sensible advice from BJP

Few eyebrows are raised when a ruling party grants a sinecure to a politician long past his prime or to one who needs to be 'accommodated' to reduce his nuisance value. Such largesse, it is assumed, is par for the course. It is a just recompense for the 'sacrifices' the politician has made to promote the public weal. The assumption is of course quite fallacious for it makes no allowance for character or merit.
