Kudankulam plant is extremely safe

On August 9, 2012, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) permitted the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for fuel loading and first approach to criticality of the first unit of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) with certain stipulations. AERB reviewed the final status and permitted fuel loading. Fuel loading is currently in progress.
