In paragraph 22 of the Prime Minister’s statement dated August 27 in Parliament on the Comptroller and Auditor-General’s report on the allocation of coal blocks, it has been mentioned that the “Ministry of Power, too, felt that auctioning of coal could lead to enhanced cost of producing energy.”
