Building on FII optimism

Foreign institutional investors (FII) have been remarkably bullish on India, supporting equity prices here even as domestic institutions and retail investors have chosen to sell. These investors have poured in some $13 billion into Indian stocks, pushing up the Sensex by almost a fifth so far this year and making it among the top performing global market benchmarks.
