It is perhaps time to stop talking about an industrial slowdown. India seems to be heading into an industrial crisis. Industrial production data for July released by the government on Wednesday offers further proof that industrial output continues to stagnate, while investment activity (for which capital goods production is a proxy) is in a slump.
