Gridlocked nation

Industrial and infrastructure projects have been held up all over India courtesy land-related strife. Yet UPA allies like Trinamool have stymied national efforts to revamp outmoded land acquisition rules. If that's not bad enough, there are now disagreements rather late in the day within the cabinet itself. True, the government must look at issues that have arisen be it pertaining to SEZs or compensation provisions that can disincentivise projects.
