The disempowered decision-maker

In an article in this paper (‘Heroics not needed’, July 18), I put forward three simple premises. One, if important decisions are to be taken as part of a regular process, then it is necessary that decision-makers constantly mitigate risks in routine and in advance by favourably managing the risk factors likely to contribute to wrong decision-making or the perception thereof.
