A broken trust

'Political parties are dead. Long live the political party.' This appeared to be the message from Jantar Mantar as Team Anna made the drama-tic and controversial declaration to end its fast and instead work towards a political alternative. Both Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal kept switching in their speech between for-ming a 'political alternative' and forming a new 'political party', as if these two are synonyms.
