London calling

As the 2012 Olympic Games kick off in London, over the next 15 days all eyes will be on top international athletes as they compete to etch their names in Olympic pantheon. This is the third time London will host the Games, having already done so in 1908 and 1948. Just as for the athletes on the track, the bar for the hosts too is raised higher each time the quadrennial sporting extravaganza takes place.
