In deferring by a day or two a possible decision to pull out from the UPA Government at the Centre, the Nationalist Congress Party has only extended the Congress's torture. While it is by no means certain that the UPA's estranged partner will quit the Government, there are also no definite indications that it will not. After all, the allegations raised publicly by the NCP — the failure of the Congress to coordinate with its partners and take effective decisions — remain unaddressed.
