SC appoints panel for a safer Amarnath Yatra

It is good that the Supreme Court has constituted a panel to find ways to contain the death of so many pilgrims who undertake the annual Amarnath Yatra. According to official estimates, 88 devotees have already lost their lives in the course of the gruelling pilgrimage, largely due to inadequate medical attention and also the fact many of them were not fully fit to undertake the pilgrimage in the first place. And it's still 10 days to go before the yatra comes to an end.
