Airline woes

Air India pilots seem to have finally negotiated a soft landing after their 58-day-old strike, the second longest in Indian aviation history. The Delhi high court intervention may allow them to get off lightly despite the large loss of money and credibility for their airline. But it will do little to end the woes of Air India or the airline industry in general, which has been amassing losses going up to a colossal Rs 30,000 crore over the last four years.
