The great game continues
Evidence has emerged of a fresh massacre in Hama, killing at least 78 people on Wednesday, following the gunning down of women and children in their homes in Houla 12 days earlier. And with the massacres, talk of war is in the air in western capitals. If the clamour for war now seems more shrill in the UK than America, this might not be because American foreign policy is less bellicose but simply because Iraq and Afghanistan have tired out the US.
