Bharatiya Janata Party veteran L K Advani is right in demanding that a bipartisan process be introduced for the appointment of constitutional bodies like the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) since the present system in which the ruling government chooses the appointees is open to 'manipulation and partisanship'.
