Hypocrisy, not austerity

What goes around comes around. Facing a barrage of criticism and ridicule for its so-called austerity measures, the UPA Government has been surprised by the hostility from even traditional sympathisers. Union Minister for Finance Pranab Mukherjee’s recent call for austerity in public life is not the first such appeal in the term of the UPA Government.
