Congress doesn't want strong Lokpal

It is time for the Congress-led UPA regime to come clean on the establishment of  Lokpal and admit what is there in its heart: That it does not want an effective anti-corruption institution which will be free of its control. Of course, the Government will vociferously dispute this contention and claim that it is “committed” to the legislation that will bring the Lokpal into existence. We have been witness to such claims of ‘commitment’ for several months now, and also to all that the Government has been doing to sabotage that commitment from becoming a reality.
