Government whitewash over black money

After demands from the Opposition for an authoritative report on how the government was dealing with the issue during the debate on the Finance Bill 2012-13, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee had promised to table a white paper on black money. The document that he tabled in Parliament on Monday to fulfil his promise of May 8 concealed more than what it revealed.
