BJP needs to surmount Karnataka crisis
The main Opposition party must act firmly to quell trouble in the southern State that it rules. Once it sets its house in order there, it can seriously work to displace the Congress-led UPA Government. The story goes that, long ago there was a boy called Gopala who often used to frighten people by falsely raising the scare of a tiger. But when the tiger actually came and Gopala screamed, “Tiger, tiger”, nobody believed him and the tiger attacked the people. Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has been doing the same thing for months, threatening to break the BJP in the State.
