Of the people
It is. Therefore, it is glorious. That democracy and its key forum of articulation, Parliament, have survived in India for 60 years is a major achievement. Few countries that came out of colonial rule after World War II have managed this feat. But in terms of pure survival, few things would surpass the cockroach, capable of crawling out of a nuclear armageddon. If we bring in yardsticks other than the ability to last, Parliament's glory tends to fade.
