Export Grain

There's a glut of foodgrains in India, driving local prices below not just global rates but also the minimum support price promised by the Centre. This is the right time to export some of our mounting wheat and rice stocks. The food ministry disagrees, arguing that any exports of surplus foodgrains, would fuel food price inflation.
