President who can stand his ground

While Jawaharlal Nehru had his way in ensuring that the design of the Constitution was fundamentally towards a ministerial form of Government, it is noteworthy to highlight the dissent within the Constituent Assembly against this design. It should come as a surprise that much of the dissent against a ministerial form of Government and a case for a presidential form of Government came from Muslim members of the Constituent Assembly such as Aziz Ahmad Khan and Mahboob Ali Baig Sahab Bahadur.
