Osama’s legacy of terror

On May 2, the world remembered the dramatic elimination of the world’s most elusive and inspirational leader of all jihadis — Osama bin Laden. Yet, in the Indian media, little was written either about the man who was once the world’s most wanted terrorist or about the American operation which killed him. The cursory attention that the event received in India is surprising given that the country still remains a prime target of not only the Al Qaeda but also of other Islamist groups — all of whom take inspiration from the slain leader.
