Exactly 549 months of May ago, Constantine XI Palaiologos, the last reigning Roman emperor was defeated in war, and Constantinople fell to Sultan Mehmet. The legend says, while surveying the ruins, the emperor remarked, “The city has fallen, but I am alive.” The fall of Uttar Pradesh is an omen of the last days of the Congress Empire.
