J&K’s peace dividend

As summer comes to the Kashmir Valley with its orchards and gardens in full bloom and its rivers flowing with crystal clear water, a definite sense of optimism prevails in the air. After a peaceful summer last year, Kashmiris are hopeful that this season too will be just as, if not more, tranquil. And, if there is any truth in the saying that the morning shows the day, then yes, Kashmir has reason to cheer. There have been no signs of any major disruption, no volatile situation threatening to boil over and no worrisome reports of cross-border infiltration.
