The government recently upheld its earlier decision to award the 4,000 megawatts Sasan captive-mine-based ultra mega power project to Reliance Power Ltd (RPL). The review lacks rigour and skirts crucial issues raised by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India a few months ago.
