A big thing that Mamata Banerjee had going for her when she ended the Left Front (mis)rule in Bengal last year — did she? Did she end the rule? Was it as active as that? Or did the Left Front, aided by 34 years of disenchantment and bitterness of voters, simply implode? — a big thing she had going for her was this: she was not the Left Front.
