Stay the course

Unfortunately, spring in Afghanistan means a renewal of violence as the insurgency stirs after hunkering down for the country`s winter. The audacious attacks this past weekend - with the bulk being in Kabul but strikes in Jalalabad, Paktia and Logar as well - send a clear message, underlined by the Taliban cancelling Qatar-based talks with the US last month.
