The writer and the wanderer

Pico Iyer is the author of seven books of non-fiction, including Video Night in Kathmandu: And Other Reports From the Not-So-Far East and Tropical Classical: Essays From Several Directions; he is also the author of two novels. In praise of his latest book, The Man Within My Head, a memoir told through the prism of the works of Graham Greene, I wrote in Lounge that Iyer “is masterful at describing travel, a genre in which many writers run out of ways to say things differently”.
