US wakes up, finally

With America announcing a $10 million dollar bounty for Hafiz Saeed, the Pakistani mastermind of the 26/11 carnage, a sense of victory seems to be prevailing in the Indian political class. Having failed to goad Pakistan into prosecuting those responsible for the attacks, the UPA is thrilled that finally the US is turning the screws on Pakistan. Union Minister for External Affairs SM Krishna has said that the announcement reflects upon both India’s and the US’s commitment to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attack to justice.
