Lobbying for gratification

When I see ‘political commentator’ at the end of an article, I wonder how the author is any different from a billion non-writing Indians who all have political opinions and don’t hesitate to voice them. Similarly, when I read of legalising lobbying, I wonder if we are all criminals for while we may not have offered the Army Chief Rs 14 crore to give a clean chit to sub-standard trucks, we have all at some time or other sought to persuade some decision-maker.
