CMs today are more timid

It’s tempting to believe that a new Centre-States equilibrium might emerge from the current political churning, especially after the drubbing the Congress received in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. But what we are witnessing today is just another round in the eternal game of catch as catch can, in which no constitutional issue is involved and the focus is only on the short-term gains that each party can chalk up.
