Funding subversion

In the immediate aftermath of the overwhelming evidence that has emerged with regard to the crores of rupees that have been pumped into NGOs leading the anti-nuclear power protests in Koodankulam by foreign donors, a recent Government report showing that similar non-profit groups working in several backward States as well as in the country’s insurgency ridden North-East have also received vast amounts of funds from overseas donors does not come as a huge surprise.
