Revenge of the natives

All the media hyperbole over the “Rahul wind”, as Uttar Pradesh  Congress chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi called it, sweeping the State has finally proved to be just hot air. Ms Bahuguna Joshi’s (she is said to have quit) lament that, had her party stuck to the development theme “rather than making controversial remarks” (an allusion to the quota chip her party tried to cash on), it would have fared better, was possibly a frank remark that a politician licking wounds of not just a defeat but a rout could make.
