Retrograde move

The government reportedly wants to empower taxmen to reopen assessments for the past ten years instead of six now, ostensibly to bring back unaccounted money stashed in tax havens. That’s a bad idea. Enhancing the time limit for reopening assessments by four more years would be unfair to honest taxpayers.
