Cancel Rushdie visa: Deoband

In the midst of the Uttar Pradesh poll campaign, Darul Uloom Deoband has asked the Centre to cancel the visa of award-winning author Salman Rushdie, whose masterpiece “The Satanic Verses” made him a  target of gun-toting fundamentalists forcing him to live underground almost through entire 1990.
