Congress said it was not possible to give a timeframe on resolution of the Telangana stand-off, urging statehood activists to call off the strike which has brought the region to a halt in the festival season. Statements to this effect from senior leader Pranab Mukherjee and general secretary incharge Ghulam Nabi Azad hammered home the point that Telangana issue was not near culmination despite the revived agitation in the last few weeks.
