Series of gaffes puts Omar govt in tight spot

In Omar Abdullah's assembly constituency, there is a consensus on where their chief minister is headed. "This man will finish off the National Conference," said an old man. For the past weeks, NC activists have watched in horror as Omar has pressed the self-destruct button thrice. The mysterious death of an old NC activist, Mohammed Yusuf, near or in the CM's house, has made the opposition seek his resignation. The PDP has also moved an adjournment motion in the assembly. And the ripples through NC should worry Omar.
