Tamil Nadu’s ‘sop’ opera reached a crescendo on Thursday when the AIADMK released its manifesto for the April 13 Assembly election. It out-matched rival DMK’s poll promises and unveiled a mind-boggling range of freebies that the people of Tamil Nadu can lay their hands on if the party is voted to power. Interestingly, at least one among these was a disguised threat of action against Jayalalithaa’s political rivals.
